Press Release Summary: Prism Medical Ltd. announced that David Minas has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer.
Press Release Body: Prism Medical recently announced the appointment of David Minas as Chief Financial Officer. Having worked as a chartered account for nineteen years, Mr. Minas has served in a number of financial capacities, in both public as well as private companies.
So far Mr. Minas has had anything but a standard career. He has witnessed first-hand many of the challenges a company faces in its successive growth phases. Involvement in everything from starting a company from scratch, to taking another one public, completely overhauling its operations as part of a restructuring, to helping manage a company just beginning a massive growth phase that took it from $46 million in revenues to over $100 million, has prepared him well for his new role at Prism. "Having enjoyed a wealth of diverse experiences, especially recently in a fast-moving, exponential growth phase company that presented me with new challenges daily, I am confident I can handle the challenges that Prism will throw at me."
No stranger to challenges, Mr Minas harbours a strong competitive spirit. After excelling in middle distance track and cross-country running, Mr. Minas was fortunate to represent Canada at international meets in the United States and Europe. A family man and father of two small boys, David competes in triathlons and still manages to find time to play men's league hockey twice a week in the winter.
Not that Prism is losing its previous CFO, Miles Atkinson. Far from it. He will be staying on as the company's Vice President of Business Development and will be focusing on acquisitions. Andrew McIntyre, Chairman and CEO of Prism had this to say: "These two appointments mean we are adding considerable strength to our financial functions, which we anticipate will contribute significantly to future growth and profitability."
